Island captains and quests
Three island captains offer optional jobs around the central harbour. Accept a job, complete its objective and return to its captain for the reward.
Find a quest captain
Quest markers identify three crewed boats beside separate islands near the central harbour. Find the Net Keeper to the west aboard a white-sailed Fireship, the Coast Warden by the northern island aboard a white-sailed Bireme II, and the Temple Voyager to the south-west aboard a white-sailed Trireme.
These captains continue roaming nearby safe water even when sailors are nearby. Their chart markers follow the boat. Click the captain or overhead quest icon, stop alongside and review the job and reward icons before accepting. The Journal book beside Mail (shortcut J) lists unfinished island jobs; Track quest selects an active objective, and Find Captain leads to an available giver. Claimed jobs disappear from the Journal. A captain’s quest icon is hidden in the world and on the map after you complete that captain’s job.

| Captain | Quest | Objective | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Net Keeper | A shoal for supper | Catch ten Anchovies after accepting this job. | 800 Fishing XP · Fishing Rod |
| The Coast Warden | Clear the coast | Defeat ten ordinary coastal ships of level 10 or lower. | Rare T1 Scroll · Common Chest |
| The Temple Voyager | An offering to the gods | Offer ten Skulls to the gods after accepting this job. | 500 Divinity XP · 2,500 Coins |
What counts
Only actions completed after accepting the job count. For A shoal for supper, catch ten Anchovies. Clear the coast requires ten ordinary coastal ships of level 10 or lower; training pirates, creatures and boss encounters do not count. An offering to the gods counts ten successfully consumed Skulls.
You can hold more than one of these jobs. Choose which active quest to follow in the tracker. Return to its captain to claim after the objective is complete; filling the counter alone does not deliver rewards.
Claiming rewards
Each quest can be claimed once. Item rewards use the hold and then available Bank capacity. Make room if neither can accept the whole reward. The listed XP values are the base quest awards; an active XP blessing can increase the XP received.
