Boat skins
Unlock permanent cosmetic ship appearances without changing your actual hull statistics.
Skin collection
An unconsumed skin item is tradeable. Consuming it permanently unlocks and equips the appearance. Duplicates are kept if already unlocked.

Hull statistics and wood paint
The underlying hull still supplies its usual HP, damage, speed, attack interval, skill requirements and Crew capacity. Wood paint remains independently changeable. Selecting a dramatic ship appearance does not unlock a different combat hull.
