Hull Plates T2
Reinforced plates that improve the defence roll without adding Hull HP.
Requirements
Requires Hull Defence level 5 to equip and to perform an ordinary rarity upgrade. This requirement is the same for all four rarities. Your combined combat level does not replace it.
You can recycle this item or advance it to the next tier without meeting its equip requirement. Equip one set of Hull Plates in its matching slot. Broken equipment must be restored before equipping.
Bonuses by rarity
Defence improves the opposed defence roll. It does not grant Hull HP or subtract a fixed amount from every incoming hit.
Broken equipment supplies none of the bonuses in this table.
| Rarity | Strength | Accuracy | Defence | Sailing speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 0 | 0 | 17 | 0% |
| Rare | 0 | 0 | 19 | 0% |
| Epic | 0 | 0 | 21 | 0% |
| Legendary | 0 | 0 | 24 | 0% |
Obtaining
New NPC equipment drops are Common. Upgrade their rarity with matching Artifact Scrolls at the Shipwright; already owned Rare, Epic and Legendary equipment keeps its rarity. Looted equipment is ready to use once its Hull Defence requirement is met. Equipment can also be obtained through player trading.
At the Shipwright, Legendary Hull Plates T1 plus one Common Artifact Scroll T2 and 5,000 Coins produces Common Hull Plates T2.
The table lists active NPC sources at base rates. Rows marked as independent rolls are separate from the main loot roll; they are not competing alternatives. Eligible loot effects can improve occurrence without changing the rolled rarity.
| Source | Level | Rarity | Quantity | Chance | Roll |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coastal Transport (level 5) | 5 | Common | 1 | 6.25% | Main roll |
Rarity upgrades
Visit the Shipwright with the intact item, an exact target-rarity T2 scroll and the listed materials. Upgrade one step at a time. An equipped item may be upgraded in place. All payment resources must be carried and unpacked; bank contents are not spent automatically.
| Upgrade | Required scroll | Wood | Boat Scrap | Coins |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common → Rare | Artifact Scroll T2 · Rare | 5 | 18 | 1,500 |
| Rare → Epic | Artifact Scroll T2 · Epic | 9 | 35 | 5,000 |
| Epic → Legendary | Artifact Scroll T2 · Legendary | 13 | 70 | 16,000 |
Advancing to the next tier
Legendary Hull Plates T2 + one Common Artifact Scroll T3 + 5,000 Coins becomes Common Hull Plates T3. No raw material or Boat Scrap is required.
If the item is equipped and you do not meet the new tier's requirement, the result moves to your hold. Leave an empty inventory slot. Premium does not change the tier-upgrade price.
Recycling
Recycling destroys the selected intact, unpacked item and returns Wood, Boat Scrap and the Coins below. Unequip it first. No skill level is required, even if you cannot wear this tier. Leave room for every returned physical material.
Premium increases the Coin component by 10%, rounded down. Material and Scrap yields are unchanged.
| Rarity | Wood | Boat Scrap | Coins | Coins with Premium |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 1 | 8 | 0 | 0 |
| Rare | 2 | 16 | 225 | 247 |
| Epic | 3 | 32 | 750 | 825 |
| Legendary | 4 | 64 | 2,400 | 2,640 |
Broken equipment and restoration
Broken Hull Plates T2 is restored through the Ship Mechanic service. Restoration preserves its tier and rarity. You must be stopped, alive and outside the combat lock, with the broken item and Coins in your hold.
Restoration is currently unavailable for this tier. The service has no enabled price; a missing price does not mean a free repair.
Storage and trading
Each unpacked Hull Plates T2 occupies one of the 28 inventory slots. The bank groups matching rarity and condition, up to 250 physical items per displayed group.
The bank can withdraw matching items as a packed stack. Packed items cannot be equipped, consumed, sold to a service or used as crafting ingredients. Deposit the packed stack to recover its usable contents.
This item may be traded with another sailor. The Harbour Merchant does not buy it.
