Loot Barrel

Obtaining

Defeated NPCs place their rewards in a Loot Barrel. Manually dropped loose items also use a ground loot barrel.

Accessing the contents

Open nearby ground loot to inspect and take individual entries or all available contents. Carried sealed loot can be cracked or deposited at Ship Storage to bank its contents.

Sealed contents are not usable crafting resources. Leave enough bank capacity for the unpacked groups. Containers cannot contain another barrel.

Ownership and recovery

Ground loot is private to its owner for 5 minutes, then becomes public. It sinks after 7 minutes in total.

Collect valuable contents before the despawn deadline; opening the container is not a permanent reservation.

Storage and trading

Each unpacked Loot Barrel occupies one of the 28 inventory slots. The bank groups matching rarity and condition, up to 250 physical items per displayed group.

The contents remain sealed until collected or unpacked through the appropriate interaction. Barrels cannot be traded to another player or placed on the item market.

Keep this item for its own activity; the Harbour Merchant does not buy it.
