Role and equipment slot

Cannons improve ordinary attack damage through an equipment strength bonus.

A strength bonus changes the maximum ordinary hit; it does not guarantee that amount of damage on every hit. Accuracy determines whether the attack connects first.

Only intact equipment that meets its skill requirement supplies an active bonus. Equip it in its matching slot; a replacement moves the previous item back into your inventory.

Tier requirements

All cannons require Power. The same requirement applies when equipping and when performing an ordinary rarity upgrade. Rarity does not alter this level gate. Your combined combat level does not replace the individual skill requirement.

Rarity and tier progression

Upgrade Common → Rare → Epic → Legendary at the Shipwright using one exact target-rarity scroll of the item's tier, Metal, Boat Scrap and Coins. The payments are 750, 2,500 and 8,000 Coins respectively.

To advance beyond Legendary, use one Common Artifact Scroll of the next tier and 5,000 Coins. This produces Common equipment of the same type at the next tier. T9 is the final tier.

Tier advancement has no skill gate, but the result still requires its listed skill to equip. An equipped result moves to the hold if you do not meet its higher requirement.

Material and Scrap costs

Each cell shows physical material pieces followed by Boat Scrap for that one rarity step. The scroll and Coin payment are additional. Carry all ingredients unpacked.

Recycling and restoration

Recycling an intact, unpacked item yields Metal and Boat Scrap. Rare and better items also return Coins. No equip level is required. Unequip the item first and leave room for the returned material.

Broken items give no equipment bonus and cannot be recycled until restored. Their service is Ship Smith. Restoration is unavailable for T1–T5; T6–T9 currently cost 12,000, 24,000, 48,000, 96,000 Coins respectively.
