Divinity
Offer skulls to raise your Favor capacity and support more powerful divine spells.
Train with skulls
Skulls from defeated NPCs can be thrown from your inventory or offered at the Water Temple. Both consume the skull and grant Divinity XP; a temple offering grants 75% more XP for the same skull. Skull XP depends on recorded weight, not rarity alone.
Base XP = 6 × (1 + floor((weight in grams − 790) ÷ 50)). Temple XP = base XP × 1.75. A 790 g skull gives 6 XP when thrown or 10.5 XP at the temple; a 1,490 g skull gives 90 or 157.5 XP.
| Defeated NPC level | Rarity | Weight | Throw XP | Temple XP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1–20 | Common | 790–990 g | 6–30 | 10.5–52.5 |
| 21–40 | Rare | 790–1100 g | 6–42 | 10.5–73.5 |
| 41–60 | Epic | 990–1200 g | 30–54 | 52.5–94.5 |
| 61–80 | Epic | 990–1350 g | 30–72 | 52.5–126 |
| 81+ | Legendary | 1100–1490 g | 42–90 | 73.5–157.5 |
Using the Water Temple
Approach within one tile of the temple entrance, stop sailing and leave combat before offering. Finish any player trade first. Prayer consumes the first eligible carried skull immediately and continues through your carried skulls, one offering at least every 1.8 seconds.
Moving, starting combat, changing the inventory or losing access to the temple stops the sequence. Unoffered skulls remain yours. Throwing a skull away from the temple also requires you to be stationary and outside combat, with an adjacent navigable water tile.
Favor capacity and regeneration
Maximum Favor = 75 + 3 × (Divinity level − 1). Raising Divinity expands capacity; it does not change a spell’s cost. Spells whose cost exceeds your maximum require more Divinity before you can cast them.
After choosing a god, Favor regenerates at 1 + active Crew per minute while alive and online, capped by Divinity. Crew improve this rate but do not raise capacity.
| Divinity | Maximum Favor |
|---|---|
| 1 | 75 |
| 10 | 102 |
| 20 | 132 |
| 23 | 141 |
| 40 | 192 |
| 60 | 252 |
| 80 | 312 |
| 100 | 372 |
| 120 | 432 |
Changing gods
After completing the tutorial, changing to another god at a statue requires Divinity level 80 and 1,000,000 carried Coins. Sail to that god’s statue and stop at its water approach, outside combat and without an active trade. Banked Coins and shared Diamonds do not pay the fee. Every statue change costs the same, including changing back to a previous god; choosing the first god is free.
Changing gods ends active bonuses from your own god spells, including Grave Robber. It does not refund Favor or reset cooldowns. See Gods and spells for party effects and timing.
After the tutorial you can also consume a Class Change Scroll to choose a different god. Buy it in the Misc Store for 3,000 Diamonds. Stop movement, travel, combat and trading first. The scroll covers the statue visit, Divinity requirement and Coin fee.
Combat rating
Divinity contributes half its level, rounded down, to the defensive part of your combined combat rating. Spending Favor is tracked for god-specific titles; it is not the method used to train Divinity.
Poseidon temple approach
The Temple Voyager quest ship anchors west of the temple approach, leaving a navigable route into the sanctuary. Its map marker, visible ship and quest interaction use the same berth.
