Playing through Steam

Start your voyage

Early Access is free. The optional Collector Edition is separate from game access. Launch the installed game from your Steam library. The game signs in through the Steam account currently running the launcher; ordinary players do not need a separate email-and-password login.

A first-time sailor still chooses a captain name and appearance. An existing captain is not automatically merged with another account that happens to share a name or email.

Choose a sea

Select an available regional sea, then press Enter world. Selecting a row alone does not enter it. Existing captains return to their home region; Switch region moves that captain when you want a different region. Full or unavailable seas cannot be entered.

Keep the game current

Steam installs the game content with the launcher. If the installed content no longer matches the server release, update the game through Steam and launch it again.
