Characters and shared Diamonds
Choose your character at the harbor, create a new voyage and switch without leaving your Steam account.
Choose your voyage
After selecting Europa and starting your voyage, choose an existing character or an available New character slot. New characters choose a unique name, a god, an existing male or female appearance and the starter boat’s timber finish before Create enters the tutorial.
A saved character preview uses its current character look, active boat, skin and finish in a temporary harbor assembled from existing game scenery. The roster shows its active Captain and a separate small god badge. Drag the character horizontally to rotate the preview; releasing returns it to the starting pose. Press Enter world to resume its own progress.
Create a character
Choose a name and one of the six gods, then select an existing male or female character look and its colours. Finish with the starter boat timber colour and press Create. The tutorial still includes choosing your Captain. Newly created characters keep their selected god; changing that choice is not available in this release.
This first version uses the current complete character models. The separate modular character builder and 3D god previews are not part of this update.
Slots and Premium
One slot is available without Premium. Active Premium unlocks creation up to four characters in total per account. Locked empty slots show the Premium requirement.
When Premium ends, existing characters remain playable. Making another character while the account already has one requires Premium.
What is shared
Diamonds use one balance across characters. Coins, skills, cargo, bank contents, ships, equipment, quests and other character progress stay with the character that earned them.
Premium is the account membership that controls the additional slots. Creating a character does not copy another character’s inventory or progression. Existing characters are preserved.
Switch characters
Open Esc, select Switch character and confirm Yes, switch character. The current character is saved and leaves the world before the harbor roster opens. Steam stays signed in. Finish combat and any blocking activity first.
Select another character and use Enter world. Canceling the confirmation returns to the current voyage.
