Navigate the sea, manage your ship and keep menu actions separate from combat controls.

Menus and movement

Esc gives priority to an open menu or service window. It closes that window before opening Settings. Service windows leave the sea active; sailing away can close the service and invalidate an unfinished interaction.

Gameplay shortcuts do not fire while typing in a field, while a blocking menu owns the input, or when the key event has already been handled. Quantity prompts shown in the chat area are local inputs rather than messages to other sailors.

Settings

Settings contains Quality, Balanced and Low effects presets, a boat-motion switch, music and effects volumes, mute and fullscreen. Low effects reduces environmental and boat presentation effects.

Select an action in Keyboard, then press a single replacement key. Duplicate assignments are rejected. Settings are saved locally for the sailor; Restore default keys returns to the defaults. Esc and keyboard-navigation keys stay reserved.
