Korsaros Online Wiki
Chat, friends and parties
Meet sailors, exchange messages and navigate together in parties of up to four.
Chat channels
Area is the default and reaches eligible sailors in the same visible world area. Global reaches connected sailors in the current world, not every regional server. Party reaches your party; join one before using that channel. Whispers are private messages to an available sailor.
Messages must be at least two seconds apart. Two cooldown violations trigger a 45-second chat lock. The wait appears as a System message. A valid message after the cooldown resets the strike count.
Chat displays character names without titles or Crew tags. The star marks a Premium speaker, the grapevine crown marks a moderator, and a horn beside Korsaros identifies a highlighted staff announcement.
Friends and privacy
Add sailors through friend requests and manage up to 30 friends, or 50 with active Premium. Your presence setting controls whether you are available through social presence-dependent actions. You can set a personal status of up to 120 characters.
Ignoring a sailor suppresses their chat and blocks related invitations and whispers. Existing larger legacy friend lists may still be read and reduced, but additions use the current limit.
Parties
A party supports 4 sailors. Invitations and join requests require consent. Leaders can manage members and invitation permissions. Party membership changes are blocked while affected sailors are combat-locked.
Party members are marked on the chart and compass. These markers help navigation; they do not automatically steer your ship. Party members cannot attack one another in PvP, and qualifying party spells reach nearby living members.
For ordinary NPC kills with loot, eligible nearby connected living party members in the same world and encounter roll one die each. Highest wins the single loot barrel; tied highest sailors reroll. The result appears below the compass. Tutorial and boss reward rules remain separate.
In single combat, party members can share NPC fights. They cannot use this exception to attack a player together. Wilderness level 5 and above allows multi-combat.
