Fishing treasure hunts
A bottle, a parchment clue and a short voyage into pirate waters.
Find a message in a bottle
Each Perfect catch in the online game has a 5% chance to award a Message in a Bottle. A bottle result replaces the fish and shows bottle artwork in the catch preview. You receive only the bottle: no fish, no Hawkeye bonus fish and no fishing-weight hiscore entry. The usual Fishing XP is preserved. A successful catch that is not Perfect does not make this roll. The website fishing minigame gives no in-game bottles or rewards.
Opening consumes the bottle. There is a 50% chance to receive a rolled treasure map; otherwise the bottle is empty. Bottles and maps cannot be traded or sold.
Make room for discoveries
If an earned bottle cannot fit in your inventory, it waits for collection. Free space and collect waiting bottles before fishing again. This is temporary overflow, not protected bank storage: ordinary sinking puts bottles into death loot.
Four maps, four pirate regions
Rarity is rolled after the bottle yields a map. Both rolled and opened inventory maps retain their rarity border. All marked search areas are in aggressive pirate waters and outside safe zones; higher rarities search higher-level zones and a wider area.
Start when you are ready
A rolled map has no running hunt timer. You can keep it in your bank until you are ready. Its first successful opening changes it into an unrolled map and starts a 15-minute hunt in your current world. Only one hunt may be active at a time. If no reachable site exists in its pirate region, your map is kept.
Click the existing unrolled map in your inventory to reopen the same parchment clue. Reopening, banking the map or disconnecting does not reset or pause its deadline. Time continues while offline. Claim the treasure before the original 15 minutes expire.
Read the parchment and search
The clue draws the actual world coastline on original blank parchment, with a red mark showing your search area. Higher rarity means a larger marked area, not an exact chest position. Your private floating chest becomes visible when you sail close enough.
Sail alongside your chest and stop to collect it. Only its owner can claim this hunt. Keep an inventory slot available; if the reward cannot fit, the hunt remains active while you make room. The timer keeps running.

Take one valuable home
Claiming the floating chest awards one merchant valuable directly. It does not give another unopened chest. The treasure matches the map rarity: Common Iron, Rare Bronze, Epic Silver or Legendary Gold. Goblet 50%, treasure coins 30%, jewelry 15%, crown 5%.
Sell the valuable at the Harbour Merchant. It is not spendable wallet gold until sold. The opened map is consumed when the reward is claimed; an expired hunt also removes its map. Each hunt can be claimed once.
